E.W. Kenyon wrote, “Obstacles stand in the way of the man who climbs.
These obstacles have to be overcome, but in the overcoming one fits himself for places of responsibility.”

We are climbing through life, not just hoping for survival.
We are intent upon overcoming obstacles.
We are interested in
Christianity that works, both now and in eternity.

I Tim 4:8
For bodily exercise profits a little,
but godliness is profitable for all things,
having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

We have a good strategy, one that will always produce good results. That strategy is godliness.

The central fact of life is that God loves us and He is calling us.
We love Him because He first loved us (I John 4:19).
If we love Him and answer the call on our lives then everything will ultimately work to our advantage.
That is Christianity that works. No one other than God can make such a promise.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Jesus put it very simply:

Matt 4:19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

We are called to follow Christ.
In this sense, we all have the same calling.
It is training in godliness, which is profitable in all things.
It makes everything work together for good.

The Greek word for exercise or training is gymnazo:

Heb 5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have
their senses
exercised (gymnazo) to discern both good and evil.

Heb 12:11(b)
afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been
trained (gymnazo) by it.

Our church is a place of training. We want everything to work out for your good.
