John 6:63(b) … The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
The words of Jesus are supernatural.
They are spirit and they are life.
They are the key to having the heavenly life invade this earthly life.
He operates in our lives through His words and our faith in His words.
Rom 10:17 [NASB] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
The words of Jesus impart faith to the hearer with an open heart.
Many people are accustomed to empty philosophy, be it religious or otherwise.
Mere human effort.
Jesus is something different.
He actually, supernaturally functions in those who practice faith in Him.
John 10:10(b) … I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Everything we do is based upon the written word of God. This word imparts to us:
- Purpose,
- Direction,
- Power,
- Blessing,
- The keys to an intimate relationship with God.
All of these things taken together are the life of God.
Each time we share the word of God, we aim for:
- Depth of truth:
We want the listener to have the advantage of many years of study and practice of His words. - Simplicity:
We want everyone to easily understand our message.
Depth of understanding should make things simpler and clearer, not more complex. - Gentleness:
Jesus identified Himself as being gentle.
The wisdom from above is gentle. - Boldness:
Say it as plainly as possible, no beating around the bush.
